Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid Notebook

Lenovo has announced the first hybrid PC Lenovo IdeaPad U1. This Lenovo IdeaPad U1 is quite similar to Apple’s Tablet device. Now Lenovo’s IdeaPad U1 is a new sort of portable computer which is the hybrid of a notebook and a tablet PC. When you look closer to this you can see the detachable screen.

The main feature of this is a detachable screen, enabling the red bombshell to switch between laptop and Tablet PC modes. User can switch between full function notebook mode and 3G multitouch slate tablet for mobile and internet. There are two operating systems, each with its own processor.

The Ideapad UI Hybrid has11.6 inch touch screen, and has Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 512Mb RAM. While the other end Notebook has Core 2 Duo SU processor which supports up to 4GB of RAM, Intel GMA and integrated graphics support. An inbuilt 1.3MP web camera and a set of standard audio ports for line in and line out enable voice chats and video calls.

In tablet mode, there is a “Me Centric” interface, in either landscape or portrait modes that enables users to switch between a six-section or four-section display. The six-section mode offers simultaneous multitouch access to multiple Web-based applications, such as e-mail, Websites and RSS readers. The four-section display acts as a media center for accessing photos, music, videos and documents.

Battery life is approximately five hours for 3G Web browsing, with 60 hours of 3G standby time, and a 1.3-megapixel Webcam, two stereo speakers and a microphone with echo cancellation are all on board. Connectivity comes courtesy of Ethernet 10 and 100, 802.11 a/b/g, Bluetooth and WWAN.
It allows users to easily access multiple multitouch Web-based applications at once, such as email, calendars, RSS readers and social networking sites.
