Curiously, though, standby time has dropped from 300 hours on the 4 to 200 on the 4S. If you find the battery is draining too quickly, try turning off services you don’t use, and checking which apps are monitoring your location in the settings menu, as this could be guzzling through your reserves.

Microsoft was looking for some natural user interfaces and the final output came which is Kinect, Which is now future for Microsoft.

“Kinect” is Microsoft’s new motion-sensing system for the Xbox 360 that does away with the game controller in favour of the player’s own body. It’s a horizontal bar hardware to the existing Microsoft Xbox gaming console, one which plugs into any of the systems. It uses black camera bar, four microphones and three video lenses to locate your body, which scans your body to identify your height and facial features and your movements. It has microphone to recognize your voice, letting you speak commands and navigate menus. The actual Kinect sensor is roughly 11 inches wide by 3 inches deep, and can be centered above or below your TV.

Kinect is always on; the user can activate Kinect controls simply by waving “hello” at the screen. A small hand icon in the bottom-right corner begins to animate, and the dashboard will automatically switch to the Kinect-enabled menu system.

This menu, called Kinect Hub, features oversize icons representing each Kinect-compatible Xbox 360 feature. Selecting one involves holding your mouse-cursor-like hand icon static over a selection for a few seconds. You can do all this by your voice also as Kinect can work it.

The Games available are Kinect Adventures (included with the hardware), Kinect Sports, Kinectimals, Kinect Joy Ride, and Your Shape: Fitness Evolved, and Dance Party and many more games and apps in under development.

Canon has launched the PowerShot S95 premium compact as successor to the S90 one year back. This new S95 makes a number of small, but worthwhile updates over the S90

Let’s check out the Design. The body of the camera is virtually identical in size and shape to the S90 but there are a few subtle changes. It is very solidly made with metal front and back, and the bottom panel is now also metal, with a metal tripod bush in the ideal position below the centre line of the lens. Only the top panel is made of plastic. The 3-inch LCD on the back of the camera is stellar. The Display is about of 460,000 dots. So the image is sharp and crisp. There’s a pop up flash up top. PowerShot S95 has 3.75x optical zoom. The bright f/2 lens is paired with an image sensor that’s very large for a compact camera. Canon S95 boasts 720p HD video recording.

Canon S95 produces excellent image quality. It record noise-free images at ISO 80-400. While using the camera in low-light condition Anti-shake facility works very well. One of the big plus points of the Canon S95 is the ability to shoot in Canon’s raw. CR2 format. The optical quality of the lens is very good. Overall image quality is good. Colors are punchy and sharp.

Canon S95 provides Video resolution up to 1280×720 (720p); they added their all new in-camera HDR scene mode, which captures three photos at difference exposure intervals, then combines them inside the camera to produce an image with increased detail in both highlights and shadows (tripod required). Video recordings look great. The files are in .MOV, so you can upload directly to facebook, youtube.

S95 comes in the form of the fully automatic face detection, motion detection and Smart Auto scene detection technologies. Other features includes effective subject-tracking AF system, and the addition of in-camera HRD recording, useful for high-contrast or back-lit subjects.

For connection to pc one mini-USB port and a standard mini-HDMI port for plugging the camera right into an HDTV for HD image and video playback.
